1- Structure Repair Engineer

Role Objective

The job holder is responsible to ensure the timely return-to-service for the commercial Aircraft by providing an optimal structural repair solutions considering the time & cost aspects. This has to be ensured from a design and/or stress perspective for product Safety by engaging the right stakeholders.

    Duties and Responsibilities

a.       Search: the right inputs to carry out assessments of a given damage scenario
b.       Query the right drawings for the Aircraft configuration.
c.       Use hand calculations / computer methods.
d.       Propose & Analyze: the structural repair solutions.
e.       Liaise across stakeholders (eg: Design, Stress / Fatigue, Materials, Performance etc.)
f.        Validate the methods applied and various assumptions & data used.
g.       Review damage data, Engineering Drawings and Digital Data to ensure efficient load path and adequate structural strength and stiffness for repairs and modifications.
h.       Coordinate cross functionally to support business needs.
i.         Develop detailed repair installation procedures.
j.         Provide Engineering recommendations for minor repair development and dispositions.
k.       Develop Standard Repairs to be published in Field SRMs.
l.         Analyze modification packages to ensure adequate structural strength and substantiate for certification requirements.
m.     Prepare Structural Reports in support of CAA compliance findings on aircraft repairs and modifications.
n.       Assist in ensuring proper work documents are raised, controlled and cleared in accordance with approved procedures and methods prior to releasing aircraft for service.
o.       Supervision of all staff under him to ensure that the company’s rules, regulations and standards
p.       Carry out any other Aircraft maintenance task as and when directed by Line Maintenance Manager.
q.       Sign CAA Form 1 after repair and fabrication.

Requirements

a.       BSc in Engineering or equivalent education
b.       Minimum 8 years of experience in Structures Repair domain
c.       ICAO Type II Basic License or QA Authorisation
d.       Ab-initio courses for Aircraft Structure Repair.

2- Structure Repair Mechanic

Role Objective

Performed maintenance work on aircraft, including dismantling, repairing, fabricating, assembling, and erecting all structural components of aircraft and aircraft components.

Duties and Responsibilities

a.       Insured that work products met all technical order specifications and inspected complete work for quality requirements.

b.       Conducted on the job training to ensure that skill levels were developed and maintained to accomplish work assignments.

c.       Received project work orders and/or instructions from the supervisor and assigned them to crew members.

d.       Made work preparations by assembling required blueprints, technical orders and technical data.

e.       Arranged required materials and parts needed to complete the assigned tasks.

f.        Communicated effectively both written and verbally, with management, crew leaders, support personnel and shop personnel.

g.       Observed work in progress to anticipate and resolve issues.

h.       Fabricated sheet metal parts.

i.         Can sign CoC after fabrication

Requirements

a.       Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent

b.       Ab-initio courses for Aircraft Structure Repair.

c.       Minimum 7 years’ experience in aircraft Maintenance as Structure Repair Mechanic
